The Nebraska Cornhuskers hit the big one on Wednesday. In many ways here.
Jalin Barnett, a 6' 4", 315 pound Offensive Tackle/Guard from Lawton HS in Lawton, Oklahoma, has become the 16th verbal for the 2015 Nebraska recruiting cycle.
Barnett, a highly rated 4 star, is the number 6 ranked Offensive Guard in this cycle. He is also the top ranked player in the state of Oklahoma. Nebraska beat out Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and Arkansas for this verbal.
Barnett was not on the radar of Nebraska under Bo Pelini's staff, however new Assistant Coach Mike Cavanaugh went down to South Central Oklahoma and got Barnett to visit on December 13th.
With this verbal, it skyrockets the Huskers up the 247 National Rankings, all the way up from 33rd to 27th, while going up from 5th to 3rd in the Big Ten Conference. The aggression of Cavanaugh and Ryan Gunderson paid off here.
Nebraska has a few spots left in this cycle. Who will be the ones to fill them? We'll bring you the latest when we get it!
