David McGee captured some images from the Nebraska vs Miami football game, a game that meant a lot more to Husker fans than just the final 41-31 score.
It wasn't just winning a game against a despised foe, it was the energy around the stadium driven by the excitement of seeing the '94 National Title team; seeing Milt Tenopir, Tom Osborne and Charlie McBride lead them out the tunnel.
it was the student section, previously harassed for poor attendance, show up two hours early and then unfurl possibly the greatest display by a student section in Nebraska football history.
Then it was Ameer Abdullah, bouncing off tacklers as a player possessed.
Last, it was a Miami team reduced to fighting and a display of poor sportsmanship rather than putting their energy into winning a game.
Nebraska emerged victorious, a late score by Miami making the outcome look closer than it actually was.
Enjoy the photos like you enjoyed the day - Jon.
