College football begins this week, at last, so we can stop talking about all that other bullshit and start talking about actual, real football and games, and YAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAY!!!!!

Let's get excited about the upcoming season, come what may. I was going to recommend/declare/PROCLAIM that this week is a week of sunshine and kool-aid drinking, just because things are more fun that way. Nobody says you have to go through life being a realist in every aspect, and DAMMIT THIS IS HOMER TIME.

I spent the last few days in Southern California getting rid of saying goodbye to my daughter as she moved to her college of choice. It was hard leaving, and not just because she was there. Time to get the upswing started here, though!!!
