Well, this is some dandy news to drop on a Sunday night.

Nebraska Cornhuskers Defensive Tackle Aaron Curry, who started 8 games for the Huskers last season, is reported to be transferring to the Oklahoma Sooners. Sean Callahan of Rivals is also reporting that Curry should get his release from Nebraska as soon as tomorrow.

Curry, who is a true Junior and could have 2 seasons to play after sitting out one, played in all 13 games for Nebraska last season and had 30 total tackles with 2 sacks in the '13 campaign. He played in the first four games of his Freshman season in 2012 before being sidelined for the season with injury.

Curry had not been spoke of much in the '14 Fall Camp, with names like Vincent Valentine, Kevin Maurice, Maliek Collins and Kevin Williams, who is coming off of a knee injury last season. With Freshman like Mick Stoltenberg and Peyton Newell coming into the fold and several good verbal recruits coming in, it may be best for Curry to find another home to play if he can't crack the 2 deep.

Curry's father, Aaron Sr, did play for the Sooners Basketball program for 2 seasons, from 1978-79.

We wish Aaron well on his journey to Norman.
