And the money tweet:
Proud to announce that I am committing to the University of Nebraska, GBR!!!
— Mirko Jurkovic Jr ♘ (@mirko_jurko64) July 21, 2014
Mirko Jurkovic, a Offensive Guard who has been going around from the IMG Academy in Indiana but is from Bradenton, Florida, has committed to the Nebraska Cornhuskers to join their 2015 recruiting cycle.
Jurkovic, who is a three star, .86 rank on 247 sports, is the 49th best OG in the state of Florida currently, and the 93rd best player in the entire state.
Nebraska was in the final 3 with Ohio State and Florida for Jurkovic. He visited Nebraska for the Big Red Weekend festival last month, and he's loved Nebraska on his twitter account this whole time.
If the last name sounds familiar, it's because two of Mirko's family have played some ball themselves. His father Mirko Sr. was a All-American at Notre Dame in 1991, while his uncle John played for the Green Bay Packers, Jacksonville Jaguars and Cleveland Browns in a 9 year NFL career. Mirko Sr. passed away in January of 2013 from cancer.
With the commitment of Jurkovic (and the removal of Hunter Dale), Nebraska should get back up to 5th in the Big Ten on 247's composite leaderboard, while getting around 27th or so in the National 247 composite leaderboard.
