Dale becomes the eleventh verbal commitment to join Nebraska's 2015 recruiting class. The 5'10" 191 pound safety is a high three-star recruit who has offers from Arizona, Arizona State, Florida, Oregon, Penn State, Tennessee, and UCLA, among others. Here's his highlight tape, courtesy of Hudl:
The commitment moves Nebraska to 22nd on Rivals recruiting rankings. The Huskers jumped six spots on 247's list to 27th, and Scout now ranks the Huskers at 26th nationally.
According to James Smith of the New Orleans Times-Picayune, John Curtis High does not allow their athletes to take further visits after they commit, so Dale is about as solid of a verbal commit as you can get. Smith says that Dale wants to play both baseball and football in college, and Nebraska will give him that opportunity.
Update: July 20, 2014
Two days later, Dale says he's not committed to Nebraska, and removed from Twitter all of his photos from his visit.
