Web Streams this Week
Penn State, Friday - BTDN (video.btn.com)
Penn State, Saturday - BTDN (video.btn.com)
Penn State, Sunday - BTDN (video.btn.com)
Notes:
- Even though the Sunday starter is listed as TBA, put the farm on Kyle Kubat being that starter unless something happens.
- Nebraska's RPI heading into the weekend at Warren Nolan's site is 41. Penn State's is 214. A series win needs to be the aim this weekend, if not a full blown sweep. Northwestern had a RPI of 224 a couple weeks ago when they took the series at Hawks Field. With Indiana basically being a lock for the tourney with a RPI of 2, Nebraska needs to keep winning to get the second B1G bid into the NCAA tourney.
- Chance Sinclair is leading the B1G in ERA, at a paltry 1.66. Second place in that category is Cam Vieaux of Michigan State with a 2.06 mark.
- Nebraska is 7-3 over their last 10 games, with a 2.90 ERA. Opponents in that time frame have a 5.74 ERA. Husker bats have hit .310, opponents have hit .275.
- In that 10 game time frame, Michael Pritchard has hit .475 (19/40) with 7 doubles and 10 RBI's. Blake Headley has gone .421 (16/38) with a OBP of .477 and 3 doubles along that time frame.
- Penn State enters this game on a nine game losing streak, with 6 of those games being on the road. Their 2 mid-week games this week were cancelled. The losing streak includes losing 2 of 3 to Ohio State, and sweeps by Minnesota and Illinois.
