Husker Volleyball in the NCAA Tournament Gallery

It was a match that featured a little bit of everything, including drama for days. The Huskers got out to a fast start, winning the first two games 25-23 and 25-22 before watching the Utes win the next two, including a dominating fourth set 25-17. In the fifth, the Huskers controlled the action, jumping out to a 8-4 lead enroute to a 15-11 victory to take the match and advance to the Sweet 16.

The statistics show a somewhat bizarre game, where the Utes dominated most statistical categories except for the service columns. The Huskers out aced Utah, 6-2. they also made fewer errors. The Utes poor service night, which committed 11 service errors, was their undoing.

The Huskers will next head to Seattle to take on the Washington Huskies next Friday evening. We won't be able to make the trip to the Pacific Northwest, but we were on hand tonight to capture some of the action this evening.
