The #12 Nebraska Women's Basketball team took the court vs. #8 Duke Wednesday evening, knocking off the Blue Devils 60-54 to pick up their first win over a top ten non-conference opponent since defeating LSU in December 2009.
Duke was without their All-American center E.C. Williams, which certainly worked to the Huskers benefit. Nevertheless, the Huskers were led by Rachael Theriot, Emily Cady and Hailie Sample. The trio combined for 46 of the teams 60 points.
The top 15 matchup brought out a big crowd as 7,571 noisy fans turned out to cheer on their Huskers, making for an uncomfortable evening for the visitors from Durham, NC.
With the win, the Huskers move to 7-0 on the season and hit the road for their next contest, heading to Tuscaloosa, AL to take on the Crimson Tide Sunday afternoon.
We were on the scene tonight to grab some pictures from the evening. We think you'll enjoy them.
