USC leads Nebraska 24-17 at half.

Here are very positive halftime notes from the Nebraska Athletic Department:

A few notes from halftime of tonight's Holiday Bowl...

--With 157 all-purpose yards in the first half of tonight's game, Ameer Abdullah has surpassed 7,000 career all-purpose yards. Abdullah is just the 11th player in NCAA FBS history to surpass 7,000 career all-purpose yards and just the second in Big Ten Conference history.

--Kenny Bell's touchdown reception was his sixth of the season and the 21st of his career. His 21 career touchdown receptions are third on the NU career list.

--De'Mornay Pierson-El caught his fourth touchdown pass of the season in the first quarter. It marked Pierson-El's seventh overall touchdown, including three punt return scores.

--Tommy Armstrong accounted for 151 yards of total offense in the first half to push his season total to 3,129 yards. This marks the fourth 3,000-yard total offense season in NU history and the most yards ever for a Husker sophomore.

--Armstrong's two touchdown passes gave him 21 touchdown passes on the season, the fourth-highest passing TD total in school history.
