After two great wins against #12 Purdue and unranked Indiana, two Husker Volleyball players won B1G weekly honors. It marked only the second time this year that Huskers received weekly honors, following Pollmiller’s Setter of the Week last week.
After recording 15 kills against Purdue and hitting .526 against Indiana, Kelsey Fien received her first Player of the Week honors in the conference. She added four blocks in the Purdue match. This was the first Husker to earn Player of the Week honors since Kelsey Robinson on November 18 of last year.
Meghan Haggerty brought home the conference Defensive Player of the Week after she tied her career high with 11 blocks against Purdue. She was a major part of holding the then-#12 Boilermakers to .098 hitting in the sweep. This is the first time since November 4th of last year.
This week, the #11 ranked Huskers take on Michigan State on Wednesday at 7:00 at home, and Maryland at 2:00 at home on Saturday. The Michigan State match will be available only on the radio, and the Maryland match will be available on NET-TV and BTNPlus. #GBR
