Week 9 College Football Schedule

Start planning your weekend of football viewing. Week 9 is here! Check out TV, game times and more.

David Banks-USA TODAY Sports

Woohoo! It is almost the weekend and time for more football. Thursday features a ranked, directional Carolina, and it ain't Spurrier's boys. That game should be boring (UConn isn't very good) but the other matchup has some B1G intrigue. A Miami team soundly beaten by the Huskers takes on the VT team that stunned the Buckeyes in the 'Shoe earlier this season. Miami is still clinging to some hope that they can win their division and be the team everyone cheers to defeat the Seminoles in the ACC championship.

Saturday night out west there is a contest between RichRod's Wildcats and Mike Leach's Cougars. Arizona should win this easily, but I want to know why no one has released an O/U on the number of times these teams combine to run the ball (I'll take the under). This game could last 4 hours.

In the B1G, we get to watch Michigan travel to East Lansing for the second year in row and get throttled by their little brother who is now bigger and meaner. There are only two reasons to watch this game. 1) the trainwreck factor 2) weird things happen in rivalry games and the Wolverines don't seem ready to give up. In other B1G games, Minnesota's RB Cobb has more rushing yards (1013) than the Gopher QB has passing yards (847). I know Leidner has missed a game, but that is still a pretty crazy stat. The Huskers get to end their long diet of night games and get a morning kickoff for Rutgers. Hopefully we get to spend most of Saturday joyfully basking in the glow that accompanies a Husker win.
