Northwestern Leads Nebraska 17-14 At Half

The Nebraska - Northwestern budding rivalry has lived up to its bidding so far. Nebraska gave up an offensive TD on an opponent's opening drive for the fifth time in seven games, while Nebraska countered with a touchdown by Ameer Abdullah in the second quarter.

Northwestern's Trevor Siemian is 13-of-23 for 144 yards and a touchdown while counterpart Tommy Armstrong Jr is 8-of-16 for 131 yards. Armstrong scored a touchdown with a reception on a trick play throw back as DeMornay Peirson El tossed him a pass for 16 yards.

Ameer Abdullah has been held in check so far by the Wildcat defense, only 9 carries for 39 yards and a touchdown. Wildcat running back Justin Jackson has 15 carries for 99 yards and two touchdowns.

Tony Jones leads Northwestern in receiving with two receptions for 34 yards. Eight different Wildcat receivers have caught a pass. Nebraska is lead by Kenny Bell, who has three receptions for 50 yards, but Bell has had several drops after initially starting strong. De
