Corn Flakes: Florida State vs Auburn - National Title Game

Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

Tonight is the last BCS National Championship game, televised by ESPN (who else?) at 7:30 PM. The Florida State Seminoles take on the Auburn Tigers in a game that might be tough for some Nebraska fans when considering the choice between rooting for Florida State and rooting for the SEC to win their bazillionth straight national title.

Husker fans are still waiting to hear whether Nebraska secondary coach Terry Joseph will take the same job at Texas A&M. I would suspect we'll hear today, so be sure to check back with us as the day goes on.

FYI, SBNation's Florida State site, Tomahawk Nation, is one of the biggest sites around. They do a heckuva job of coverage of the Seminoles, so if you want to know, for example, whether or not the Seminoles have any other players besides Jameis Winston, they're the go-to site for Florida State information.

SBNation's Auburn site is College and Magnolia. I have no idea about the significance of their name.

Florida State's offense has proven to be detrimental to any defense it has come up against in 2013, and if Auburn allows them the time of possession, that won't change.

I'm trying to get a little bit better at posting articles about Big Ten basketball. The conference is incredible. I realize we get dampered a bit on it because Nebraska is still at the bottom of the totem pole, but i have been watching more basketball already this year.

Gator Bowl ratings soar 94 percent | members.jacksonville.com
Tickets for the 69th Taxslayer.com Gator Bowl on Wednesday may have been a tough sell because of the rainy weather and lack of interest on the part of Nebraska fans, but the combination of two major college brands, the Cornhuskers and the University of Georgia, resulted in nearly doubling the TV ratings over last season for the New Year’s Day bowl at EverBank Field.
