The Manziel issue about autographs set off a domino effect on Wednesday, with a lot of schools like Louisville, Ohio State and USC taking action to make sure their players weren't in trouble. There are some in CFB who underestimate the market, like Paul Johnson of GT.

TCU, who many had up in the Big 12 race, lost their third starter for the season this week on Wednesday with Guard Michael Thompson retiring due to injury.

Speaking of TCU, Head Coach Gary Patterson spoke up loud and clearly when he called out LSU HC Les Miles on the way he has handled the case of Running Back Jeremy Hill. These 2 meet at ATT Stadium in Arlington on August 31st to kick off the season (I'll be there).

Bad news for the Florida Gators, as Sr Redshirt WR Andre Debose tears a ACL. It may not affect the Gator offense much, but it will affect the special teams of the Gators big time.

Some more uniform rollouts, with Kent State having a new uni, while New Mexico State gets some good looking lids.

The FCS poll came out on Tuesday. Craig Bohl and his North Dakota State Bison are at the top of the list to start out the season. Nebraska opponent South Dakota State comes in at 7th in the preseason poll.

UCLA confirmed that DT Owa Odighizuwa will miss the season with a hip injury. He was a big time Nebraska target a few years ago, but he ended up in Los Angeles. Owa has been fighting hip issues all spring, so this isn't a big surprise.

If you're a NBA type of person, the 2013-14 schedule came out Wednesday.

The NFL came out with a list of things players will get penalized for in the name of "Excessive Celebrating". Whatever Goodell.

No birthday's or national what it is day stuff. I was told music was expected now. Okay, I heard this on the radio on the way to work Wednesday so we'll use it. It kinda looks like a half Adele, half Fergie type of thing. Is she British? Maybe, just listen to it and you tell me what you think.
