Hi Zac Taylor!!
Hi Zac Taylor!!
Andrew Weber-USA TODAY Sports

Welcome to Monday, and FOOTBALL IS BACK. With everything kicking off this week, some links are thin today, but I fully expect things to ramp up the more we go on this week. On to the goods now, huh? ($ = subscription needed)

The Nebraska Cornhuskers start their Fall Camp today, with a 6:45pm practice in Lincoln. Don't expect to hear much about it though, as late Sunday afternoon the Nebraska SID's office sent a release saying there would be no media coverage before or after practice. There was no reason given, so...... yea, your guess is as good as ours.

From this past weekend on CN, you got Salt starting the #TeamSunshine movement for 2013, plus Jon had a initial dissertation of the offensive and defensive depth charts. Plus, Nebrasketball finalized their non-conference schedule for the upcoming season.

Your Monday recruiting rankings put Nebraska at 44th nationally and 7th in conference at Rivals, while the Huskers are.... oh man.... 50th nationally and 8th in the B1G at 247.

Meanwhile, Steve Helwagen of 247 brings up a pretty cut and dried point about B1G recruiting that is going to make some Nebraska folk very mad.

If you scroll to the middle of this page, you'll see that Nebraska will host Mark Packer and Houston Nutt from SiriusXM today from 11am-2pm Lincoln time. I highly doubt that's the reason for the no-press statement however. Meanwhile, the BTN will be making the tour of all Big Ten Football camps. Nebraska gets the greatness of Revsine and DiNardo on August 19th.

Wanna know why I'm high on Tommy Armstrong? Well...

Steve Sipple of the LJS wants to know if the "naysayers" are going to take down the Husker Defense. As far as the offense goes? Steve also says it'll be good... but it's not going to be as good as Jamal Turner said it would be ($)

According to D___en R___ll of ESPN, TAMU QB Johnny Manziel is under investigation by the NCAA for taking money for autographs he gave around the time of the BCS Title Game in Miami, which mind you was 8 months ago. There's a lot of blowhard stuff in the piece itself (8 months later, timing, etc) however it seems a lot of people want to believe it.

Former Auburn RB Michael Dyer finally found a home at Louisville.

Some things come to light when Fall Camp starts that makes you shake your head. Like this midfield logo, or this playcard for example.

Will Muschamp does have a point here.

Are you a B1G Basketball guy? Well, the SBNation community devoted to the B1G, BT Powerhouse, is up and running once again. Give it a try for your season as the school year and basketball season comes up.

The NFL Preseason started on Sunday night, as the Dallas Cowboys defeated the Miami Dolphins at the Hall of Fame Game. I guess I'm one of the only ones that like the new Miami uniforms.

Look at you Cleveland Browns, going all cool and such.

TIGER BACK? Good, the PGA Championship is this week at Oak Hill.

We may get the MLB/Biogenesis suspensions someday. Supposedly, today, but I wouldn't hold your breath.

Today's birthdays include Patrick Ewing, Lolo Jones and Paula Creamer.

Today is International Beer Day, as well as Work Like a Dog Day. Also, it's National Underwear Day, and Salt isn't happy with this.

Let's kick up Monday with some vintage BTO, knowing the season is SOON.

Listen for me about 9:30 tonight on the Joe In Bugaha show on Stucknut Radio. I'll be talking Husker football, as well as Manziel and Coaches poll talk.

Enjoy your Monday everyone.
