Nebraska athletics opens up the 2013 campaign for collegiate glory this coming weekend. I'll be providing a weekly calendar of events as well as a box score of the prior week's results. For the non-revenue sports, I'll also try and provide a brief summary of the event with a link to the official report from the school.

Women's Volleyball: This will be volleyball's first match at their new home in the Devaney Center. Women's Soccer: Defeated Colorado College 2-1 in an exhibition match. The women went up 2-0 early in the second half but had to survive a late rally by Colorado College to secure the win. Strong performances were recorded by seniors Emma Stevens (keeper) and Jordon Jackson (forward) as well as junior Mayme Conroy (forward). Nebraska will open their 2013 campaign this Friday against Southeast Missouri State in the annual Husker Classic tournament at the Nebraska Soccer Field.
