Tuesday's Corn Flakes

18 days to kickoff.

Tuesday? It's gonna be a good day. Here we go!

From yesterday, Mike did his Michigan State preview, while David wrote about Tim Miles doing work on the recruiting trail with a verbal from Jacob Hammond.

Former Husker verbal Ernest Suttles has another new home.... maybe.

Suttles, who left Lincoln after snapping a beer bottle on the head of David Santos, will be joining former Nebraska DL issue Chase Rome in Memphis on their line next year.

The folks over at LandGrantHolyLand did their Big 10 football preview on Monday. They believe that Michigan will be playing Nebraska Ohio State in Indy in December for the B1G Championship, but by only a hare. (Edit: Fixed. But if I may say, LGHL has a lot faith in Michigan for being rivals.)

The AVCA preseason poll came out on Monday, and Nebraska was ranked #10 to begin the season. Fellow B1G stalwart Penn State is #2, while Michigan was placed at 7. Texas is your preseason number 1 team.

I'm going to do us all a hot solid and skip the Rivals/247 rankings this week. Eleven warriors has Nebraska at 8th this week in B1G recruiting, gaining a spot only cause of the Iowa/Pierscehbacher fallout. That being said, disregard the talk about Dallis Todd flipping from OU to Nebraska any time soon at least. Todd has been actively recruiting for Oklahoma on twitter, so the odds are slim.

Looks like they figured out how to turn on the scoreboard at Pinnacle Bank Arena....

Pat Forde of Yahoo gave up his top 25 of QB's in college football this year. Nebraska's Taylor Martinez was down at number 18 on the list.

ESPN came out with more Johnny Manziel "news" on Monday, saying the TAMU QB did more autograph work in Miami in January. Doesn't matter that they never mentioned if they think he was paid or not, he signed stuff BAD MANZIEL HANDSLAP.

Steve Spurrier said that South Carolina DE Jadeveon Clowney may miss the first game with a shoulder issue. Right.

In an interesting move, Auburn QB Kiehl Frazier, buried in the depth chart under new HC Gus Malzhan, asked for and was moved to Safety. That's an interesting but probably good way for his career to keep going for Auburn. He was the #5 dual threat QB in the 2011 class. Other players on that list? Braxton Miller (1), Brett Hundley (2), Teddy Bridgewater (6), Jamal Turner (7), Marcus Mariota (12), Johnny Manziel (14) and Tre Roberson (28).

Some terrible news late Monday night, as a fan fell to his eventual death at Turner Field in Atlanta on Monday evening. As a guy who has seen this twice at RBiA a few years ago, please remember to make sure where you are at all times at a game.

So, Fox Sports 1 launches in a couple days here. I have Directv, and I have not heard if the company will host the channel as it makes it debut. Randy Moss will be in the studio for the launch along with Brian Urlacher, Ronde Barber and others.

Yu broke my heart, Yu.

People born on this day, besides my wife, include Danny Bonaduce, Fidel Castro, Bobby Clarke, John Slattery (Roger Sterling), and Debi Mazar.

Who wouldn't appreciate a cheesy 70's show opening as the song of the day?

(thanks ChuckCollins)

Seriously, that is 90 seconds. Imagine that in today's TV world.

Mike has some good stuff this morning, but you'll want to tune in this afternoon for a good one.

Enjoy your day folks.
