Hope you enjoyed your Fourth everyone. We had some #BOOMs for you last night.
Very fitting that the #Huskers picked up a commit from TE Freedom Akinmoladun on the 4th of July.

First off on your Thursday evening roundup, we have Freedom Akinmoladun. A three star with 247 and unranked from Rivals currently, he is seen as a Tight End type for the Huskers in this cycle.
While not having a high ranking, Freedom was very wanted out of the KC area, with some decent offers. His highlight reel, especially on offense, will impress you.
While Freedom is good on the Fourth of July, Nebraska celebrated just a little later with the top of their offensive board saying yes to Lincoln.
Lee's Summit (Mo.) West WR Monte Harrison tells me he has committed to #Nebraska tonight. #Huskers

Monte Harrison, the Huskers first current four star commit, had a whole mess of offers and is a Rivals 250 player. A very good Wide Receiver, he is as big as Nebraska could get currently on offense, and rivals Peyton Newell as the biggest target for the Huskers this moment.

Not only is it good to see one more commitment from Big Red Weekend, it's even better to see Nebraska going into Missouri and getting two players from what is considered now SEC country, along with one of the top players in the state.
This now gives Nebraska 11 verbal commits, which looks to be the halfway point of the class. Both Rivals and 247 rank Nebraska as 39th in their respective national rankings while also ranking 7th in the B1G in both sets also.
Nebraska's next best chance to increase this number will come on Tuesday, as TV Williams will announce his decision at his high school in McKinney, Texas.
