That's right, it's Monday. Time for the grind again. Halfway through July, and in just a few weeks, FOOTBALL THINGS TO POST. I promise you can make it. On to the goods ($ = subscription)

From this weekend on CN, Mike had something on conflicting stories on Alfonzo Dennard's traffic stop last week, while I took a look at why TV Williams went to Kentucky instead of Nebraska.

Steve Sipple of the LJS thinks that recruiting is a "bizzaro world" and his thoughts on TV. I hope he reads what I wrote on the Williams family, because he would be surprised by it. Furthermore, for getting on a kid that has a hat selection ceremony... never mind. You've heard this before from me. ($)

A warning to the masses: Troll Bret Bielema at your own risk...

Welp.....

It's always nice to see the opinion of someone else about your team. The Cedar Rapids Gazette gives theirs right here.

You've heard about it, now here is your chance to see Bo Pelini throw the first pitch at Friday night's Chicago/St. Louis game. Since I'm not completely sure about MLB's embed rules, I put the link up there for you.

If you are interested in heading to TCF Bank Stadium when Nebraska plays Minnesota on October 26th, here's a link to where you can get tickets to the game. Sounds like you have to buy them in a 2 pack, so sell the others and break even on the Nebraska ones.

Even though he isn't good to go by the NCAA clearinghouse quite yet, Husker BB commit Tai Webster has made the journey from New Zealand to Lincoln. ($)

Another weekend, another wonky Johnny Manziel story. This time, things didn't look good at the Manning Academy over the weekend.

Simulating the season on NCAA '14 once is good, but do it ten times, and you can pretty much get a grasp for what could happen this season. All of us Nebraska fans should probably click that with a brown paper bag.

Texas A&M President R. Bowen Loftin will be leaving College Station this coming January. Former AD Bill Byrne and Loftin did leave the TAMU sports programs a whole lot better than they got them, and that's all you can really ask for.

In a world where the folks that messed up at Penn State just sat down and realized that time would make people forget, we could all move on. However, we don't live in that world, so that's why former President Graham Spanier is suing Louis Freeh for what he said about him on the report Freeh completed on the Sandusky/Paterno cover up.

Between Alabama and Auburn athletics dominating the state of Alabama, especially in football, there has to be a wicked stepsister who has to be sacrificed and gets nothing. That is UAB, who can't even try to get a new stadium to replace the worn out Legion Field.

You can never go wrong putting the Red White and Blue of America on your helmets.

The Home Run Derby is tonight at Citi Field in NYC,which is, of course, part of the All Star Game festivities. Here are the line up's as of this morning. It's the greatest thing you can watch on mute because Chris Berman, y'all.

The NBA has their Summer League up and running. Check out all the goods from yesterday here.

Today's birthdays include Jesse Ventura, Jan Michael Vincent, John Stallworth, and Eddie Griffin.

On this day in history, President Richard Nixon announced a visit to communist China in 1971, while Tex Schramm, who fashioned plenty of things for the Dallas Cowboys, from Texas Stadium to the world famous Cheerleaders, passed away in 2003. His name is in the Cowboys Ring Of Honor, only one of two non-players in the group.

Today is National Gummy Worm Day, as well as National Get out of the Doghouse Day.

Stevie Ray Vaughn, anyone? Of course you said yes.

(thanks vevo, you're a pal)

Expect another great preview from Mike today. Also, the watch lists for the Butkus and Lombardi will be announced this morning.

Have a great day, everyone.
