Welcome to your Wednesday morning. I will have more on the TV Williams decision later today, but I will say that it was the first true time I covered something like that and I like how it goes and the support kids get in their decisions. No matter what school they decide or how long and distinguished the process is, it's never a easy decision. I will never get upset about a kid not picking Nebraska for a lot of reasons.
Anyhow, that's later today. On to today's links. ($ - subscription needed)
Yesterday brought on the Corn Nation Conversation with Jesse Collins of OTE. Meanwhile, Salt went ahead and did the whole NCAA '14 season thing. Interesting bowl opponent, no?
Another Internet popularity vote, as ESPN is doing this whole "Ultimate Team" thing, and Nebraska gets Georgia in the first round. If you wanna vote, tear it up killer.
Cole Pensick was named to the Rimington Award watch list. But so was 35% of college football's starting centers, so... yea.
In Baseball news, another former Husker is coming back to the program. Ken Harvey,a former 1st Baseman, is returning to Lincoln to become a student assistant as he finishes his degree.
For those wondering about the Bob Devaney center as it has to be ready soon for Volleyball season...
Inside is still off limits, but this is outside of Devaney Center renovations (south side) #huskers pic.twitter.com/LgXuW1txyX

Looks good, but what would look better would be...
I will be announcing my decision next week.

I tend to believe this one is between Nebraska and Stanford, with no true leader. Nebraska could use him on D, but a Stanford offer is hard to turn down. We will find out.
Team USA beat the Czech Republic 101-60 in Russia at the World University Games on Tuesday. Husker Women's Basketballer Jordan Hooper contributed with four points and a team high seven rebounds.
The SBNation staff got together to do their top to bottom picks for each conference this season. Nebraska... well, go look for yourself.
I guess it's a thing to have your game across the ocean in Ireland or something, as Penn State and Central Florida will play a game there this fall. Furthermore, Alabama and Notre Dame could very well be playing games in Dublin also. The pure comedy of the Irish yelling ROLL TIDE YOU BLIMEY BASTAGES is worth the trip.
If you need to find a second, third, or ninth team to cheer for, GOOD NEWS. There are 12 new NCAA football teams debuting this fall. UNC Charlotte kinda surprises me on this list, but good for all them.
Connor Brewer, the Texas Quarterback who wasn't going to get a chance with Bryan Harsin gone from Austin, is transferring. Where he could go is anyone's guess, but an educated guess is TCU.
Speaking of the Longhorns, they are adding more horns to their jerseys. The new horns on the neck don't look bad really, but I personally think the size of the numbers are a touch too big.
Stewart Mandel of SI wrote about the ten best and five worst CFB head coaches. On this list, you'll see that two of the 5 bad ones are Kirk Ferentz and Tim Beckman. Man those BHGP folks are SIZZLIN.
Listen, I don't care if you hate Ohio State and Michigan and want Urban Meyer to burn in hell. This one time, cheer for something to "Beat Michigan", would ya?
This whole MLB/Biogenesis thing is going to get odd soon. And MLB may look like the fool in this one when all done.
US Soccer looked good again last night in their Gold Cup opener.
For the hell of it... Mongolian Grill, or Hibatchi? That's a good poll question I think.
The birthdays include Sofia Vergara, Jessica Simpson, Trent Richardson, Urban Meyer, Ron Glass, and Nebraska's own Roger Craig. Wanna feel old? He's 52 years this year.
On this day in 1999, the US Women won the World Cup, while in 1850, Millard Fillmore was sworn in as the 13th President of the United States.
On your watch list calendar, mark off the Lou Groza and Ray Guy as they come out this morning.
An Omaha fave for the song today? Sure.
(thanks Vevo)
Podcast in a bit, have a great humpday yo.
