The second weekend in November is spoken for. Serioiusly, the entire weekend will be taken up with significant Husker milestones. The athletic department announced today that the women's basketball team will host UCLA for thier first game in Pinnacle Bank Arena on Friday, November 8, which will be followed by the men's game vs. Florida Gulf Coast. It will be a day-night double header with the men's game will be carried on BTN in the evening. The women's game will tip-off at noon and will be preceded by a pep rally to promote life skills for Lincoln-area middle school students.

That will be the beginning of what will potentially be a very big weekend in Husker athletics as the football team will take on the Michigan Wolverines the following day in what many expect to be a pivotal game to decide the Legends West division race, potentially between two top 15 teams. It would have been a perfect weekend if the volleyball team was hosting Minnesota Friday afternoon and Penn St. on Sunday, but alas, the schedule makers weren't that kind. Nevertheless, it will be a monumental weekend in Husker sports. Get your tickets now, or at least start scouring the secondary market, because, that's right, the arena is sold out.
