2013 Big Ten Baseball Tournament: Fighting For Survival

New, 43 comments

Minnesota, Nebraska, and Illinois face elimination in today's action at the Big Ten Baseball Tournament. Only one will survive and advance to tomorrow.

Today's Schedule

12:05 p.m. Game 6: Illinois vs. Minnesota

3:35 p.m. Game 7: G6 winner vs. Nebraska

7:05 p.m. Game 8: Ohio State vs. Indiana

Michigan is already gone, and two more teams will be done by the end of today. Nebraska, Illinois and Minnesota will try to fight their way out of the loser's bracket and only one will survive.

At yesterday's postgame presser it was announced that Nebraska would start Christian DeLeon, but that has been changed and we will not know who the Huskers will start until the winner of Game 7 has been determined.

The reasoning is clear - Erstad is in this thing to win it all or go home today. If you think you can beat Illinois or Minnesota without perhaps your best starter (Kyle Kubat and Aaron Bummer have already pitched), then you might gamble and save him for tomorrow.

Be sure to hit up our photo gallery from yesterday (my ego needs a boost) and join us for today's game thread. If nothing else, let us know what you'll be doing for Memorial Day Weekend!

Most of all, GO BIG RED!
