Nebraska (11-16, 5-1 Big Ten) at Iowa (10-13, 1-5 Big Ten)

Friday, April 5 - 6:05 p.m. (CT)

Probable Starters: RHP Christian DeLeon (2-2) vs. LHP Sasha Kuebel (1-5)
TV: None
Stream: None
Radio: Husker Sports Network

Take a look at those Big Ten baseball conference records. 5-1 vs 1-5.
Get a sweep on the road this weekend and Nebraska zooms to 8-1 while Iowa would fall to 1-8. Is that too much to ask for?
It is if the Huskers play like they did at Kansas State earlier this week. What you saw there (televised no less) was a team that was:

- Not nearly as good as we want them to be.
- Struggling to find a bullpen that is close to handling midweek games
- Really tired of playing road games

It isn't a one or the other deal, but I left out the "all of the above" selection out of sheer laziness.

Iowa right now is not a good baseball team. They're ninth in team batting at .254 (Nebraska, 6th, .271), seventh in team pitching with a 3.59 ERA (Nebraska, 9th, 5.02), and ninth in fielding with a .958 fielding percentage (Nebraska, 1st, .981). In other words, they don't do anything particularly well as a team anyway.

Tonight should be about Nebraska taking care of shaking off the midweek game and taking care of Friday night.

THIS IS YOUR OPEN THREAD! BE NICE! HAVE A GOOD FRIDAY NIGHT AND

GO BIG RED!
