Joe Keels Flips His Commitment From Wisconsin To Nebraska

New, comments

In a very, VERY large upset, the Highland CC Defensive End flips from the Badgers to the Huskers

Not many people thought this one would happen. Boy, we are all glad we're wrong on this one.

Joe Keels, one of the higher targets for Nebraska's defensive recruiting, and the number 5 ranked JUCO Defensive Ends in America, officially flipped his commitment from Wisconsin to Nebraska on Tuesday afternoon.

Keels, who is the number 16 overall JUCO player in America this year, had committed to the Badgers about 2 months ago. He also had offers from West Virginia, Alabama, Maryland, Iowa State, Texas, and Oregon amongst others.

For more recent highlights of Keels at Highland this year, check this video out on Hudl.

Now, even with the decommitment of Chance Waz yesterday and the verbal of East Mississippi CC Safety Byerson Cockrell on Friday to add to Keels today, Nebraska still ranks 37th in the 247 National rankings, while staying steady at 6th in the Big Ten rankings by 247.

We will talk about that in a later piece, but this is definitely a victory for Nebraska over Wisconsin. CELEBRATE IT.
