Weekend Recap
Nebraska Soccer split their latest slate of matches with a thrilling 2-1 win over Iowa and falling just short in a 2-1 loss to Michigan. Click the following links for Corn Nation match reports of the Iowa and Michigan matches. Both of these matches definitely my favorites to watch so far this season. Nebraska's current record is now 9-3-1 overall and 4-1 in the Big Ten.
Nebraska stayed put at #18 in the latest NCAA RPI Rankings released Monday and they dropped one spot to #24 in the latest NSCAA Coaches Poll.
Huskers N Side also released an excellent feature yesterday on YouTube with Jaycie Johnson and Mayme Conroy talking about what is ahead for them and the team this season. Click on this to check it out.
Here are some tweets to chew on regarding Husker Soccer.

Looking Ahead
Nebraska just play one game this weekend when they travel to face Purdue. Purdue currently has an 8-4-1 overall record with a 3-2 conference record. Despite starting off the conference schedule with back to back losses against Wisconsin and Penn State, the Boilermakers have rebounded well by claiming three consecutive 1-0 wins over Ohio State, Illinois and Northwestern. Purdue is led by three forwards who have combined to score 20 of their team total of 31 goals this season. Freshman Maddy Williams has nine goals and five assists on the season. Junior Alex Hairston has eight assists and six goals from just 14 shots on target while Senior Hadley Stuart has five goals and nine assists on the year. I am looking forward to seeing these high scoring teams go at it this week. Kickoff will be on Friday night at 6:00 p.m. Central Time at West Lafayette.
GO BIG RED!!!
