Nebraska beats Illinois 39-19.
It was a 20-point win, and Husker defense gave up 300 yards and 10 points in 55 minutes. That's darned good, more than any of you expected. Illinois finished with 372 total yards.
Ameer Abdullah had 225 yards rushing on 20 carries for a 11.2 yard per carry average while Tommy Armstrong Jr was 8-for-13 for 135 yards and two touchdowns passing. Quincy Enunwa had four receptions for 80 yards and a touchdown, while Kenny Bell had four receptions for 65 yards and a touchdown on a play where he made a beautiful one-handed grab and went on for a 37-yard score.
Still, there were some issues. More on that as the week goes on.
Now it's time to celebrate the pain of others, such as Penn State getting beat by Indiana 44-24 for the FIRST TIME in Big Ten Conference play and Iowa losing to Michigan State 26-14.
There's more to come!
