Nebraska vs Minnesota: Alumni, Fan Events

There are many many Nebraska fans who will be making the trip to Minneapolis for the Minnesota - Nebraska game, so we're going to publicize some events a little earlier than normal.

Note that Minneapolis has light rail transit that runs between the airport, the Mall of America and downtown Minneapolis, so you could potentially make both the Alumni Association's gathering and the MN4NE event at the Mall of America.

FRIDAY  - UNL Marching Band Practice

When: 2:30 p.m.

Where: Eden Prairie High School - MAP - 17185 Valley View Rd, Eden Prairie, MN 55346

'THE PRIDE OF ALL NEBRASKA', The UNL Marching Band will rehearse on the field, and you are invited to attend. Come out and welcome our great UNL Band to the Cities!

Eden Prairie is a suburb to the southwest of Minneapolis. There is only one Eden Prairie High School in case you're wondering.

FRIDAY - Nebraska Alumni Association

All Nebraska alumni and fans are invited to join the Nebraska Alumni Association and Husker Sports Network for Football Friday in Minneapolis the evening before the Nebraska game. The event includes:

Live broadcast of Sports Nightly starting at 6 p.m. (Central)
Appearances by former Husker football players, great giveaways and Husker spirit!

This event is located in downtown Minneapolis.

Friday - Lyons Pub Ticket Giveaway

The Lyons Pub (located in downtown Minneapolis) is sponsoring a ticket giveaway on Friday. You must like them on Facebook to be eligible to win. More below about Lyons Pub.

Friday - Minnesotans for Nebraska - MN4NE Pep Rally

When: When: Friday, Oct. 25, 2013, event begins at 6 p.m.
Where: Sky Deck @ Mall of America (East Side, Fourth Floor)
Cost: Free

The Mall of America is located in Bloomington. It's fairly easy to get to, with plenty of parking.

Friday - Lyons Pub, Downtown Minneapolis

FRIDAY - Through These Gates Screening

When: 7 p.m.
Where: Sky Deck @ Mall of America
Cost: $10

There will be preferential seating for Minnesotans for Nebraska members. Tickets can purchase through a link at Huskermax.com. There will be a Q&A and autograph session after the showing of the film.

Saturday - Lyons Pub, Downtown Minneapolis

When: 8:30 a.m.

Where: Lyons Pub, 16 S. 6th Steet, Minneapolis

The Lyons Pub in downtown Minneapolis is a regular gathering place for MN4NE members to watch the football games. They will open at 8:30 am, with a breakfast special, bloody Mary bar, and feature $3 domestic bottles.

SATURDAY - INDOOR TAILGATE W/BREAKFAST BUFFET & SHUTTLE BUS SERVICE

When: 8 a.m.
Where: Joe Senser's Roseville, RSVP needed.
Cost: Details Below

Joe Senser's in Roseville will be hosting a morning indoor tailgate party and provide shuttle bus service to all interested. The indoor breakfast buffet will be available starting at 8 a.m.

- Breakfast buffet, $8 p.p.
- Bloody Marys & Screw Drivers, $2 ea.
- Draft beer & red beer specials, $4 ea.
- Other specials available

In addition, Senser's is offering shuttle bus service to and from the game. Buses start leaving for game @9:30a.m.

- Shuttle bus ride WITH one drink, $9 p.p.

Payment for food, drink, and shuttle service will be collected at Senser's Saturday morning. The shuttle bus ticket will be purchased as you enter the establishment. The food and drink costs will be paid via normal tab.

You will also be able to enjoy Senser's post-game specials upon your return on the shuttle if you desire.
