Well, after 6 weeks that has gone a lot longer, Nebraska finally has their 13th verbal commitment of the '14 cycle.
As of October 14th, Monday night at 7:40 Joshua Kalu is officially Nebraska Cornhusker! #Blackshirts #GBR #FOE #RFG #Blessed
— Joshua Kalu (@BluesKalus) October 15, 2013
Joshua Kalu, a three star Safety, had visited the Huskers on September 7th, and chose Nebraska over Houston, Wake Forest, and Colorado among others.
While not a massive splash, this is a much needed verbal commitment for Nebraska, who had not had one since Peyton Newell had made his college intentions known the Friday before Nebraska's season started.
As mentioned above, this gives Nebraska 13 current verbal commits, which would be halfway into their attained target of around 25-26 players for the 2014 cycle.
Kalu's verbal. even at a three star, will help Nebraska's current ranking of 48th on the 247 national rankings, as well as 7th in the Big Ten Conference.
