- Massive JUCO offensive tackle Matt Finnin committed eliminating the backup plan of fashioning players out of oak tree trunks and large stones.
- A teammate of offensive tackle Dwayne Johnson claimed he committed to Nebraska. This was later denied by Johnson.
- Current wide receiver commit Dominic Walker had an in-home visit with coaches Pelini and Fisher. Tentative plans for a game of NCAA13 were made. No, for real.
- Athlete Trevell Dixon reaffirmed his commitment to Nebraska after about 12 months.
- Pat Smith, a kicker transfer from Western Illinois, was pulled over and then let go with a stern verbal warning. Sources indicate that the warning began with the question, "How 'bout them Huskers?"
- Current Nebraska commit Marcus McWilson will be visiting Kentucky to catch up with his former main recruiter for the Cornhuskers, Vince Marrow. This is clearly a chance to take in a basketball game and renew acquaintances, not an opportunity for McWilson to see where he'll be playing if/when he decommits from Nebraska.
- We snagged an exclusive interview with Johnny Stanton who's really, really nice
- Cornerback Boaz Joseph committed which prompted the question of whether or not secondary coach Terry Joseph is either a witch, made of dynamite or both.

Junior of the Week:
A new addition to the Rewind, should any targets of note for next cycle be brought to our attention, they'll be featured here. To kick things off, we've got linebacker Greg Hoyd III.
Ross Els is already trying to get the young man to Lincoln as soon as possible. He's been receiving calls and written mail regularly from the Big Red. I give you the film from his junior year.
Be sure to keep your eye out for the next Big Board come Monday!
