Post-Game: Nebraska Notches a Team Win as Bo Pelini Checks into Hospital (He's Okay)

Ameer had a pretty good day. He is the clear #2, but Heard is really good too. OH, and Cross? Good as well.

Well, how about that? Nebraska loses Bo Pelini to flu-like syndromes, almost falls apart in the third quarter but pulls it all together to win 42-13 over the Arkansas State Red Wolves.

Bo Pelini is alright, just so you know. He was taken to the hospital for some precautionary testing (he is a middle-aged man after all) and should be back to work tomorrow. Get well soon, Coach Bo!

As for the game, I think the defense was far improved, don't you? They only allowed two field goals against a well-regarded spread offense (#7 in country) attack. To keep this in context, top 15 defense Oregon allowed 35 points. I misread the stats - Oregon State is top 10, Oregon is #92. But we're #95. And Oregon allowed 35 points to our 13 (6 offensive points).

The offense was just wonderful, except for that third quarter. Plenty of run game action, something we would've like to have seen last week. Abdullah, Heard and Cross are going to be great after Rex graduates.

So what do you think? And who is ready for more football? We've got an afternoon TV schedule after the Jump!
