BTN To Televise Husker Spring Game on Tape Delay

The Big Ten Network announced today that the Nebraska spring game will be televised on it's platforms. BTN will tape-delay the broadcast at 9:30 pm Central time on April 14th. BTN2Go and the BTN Digital Network will stream the braodcast live. BTN2Go is only available to subscribers of certain cable/internet providers, such as Cox, Time Warner, Dish Network, and DirecTV. The BTN Digital Network is a subscription package; it costs $9.95 for one school for a month, or $79.95 for a school for a year. To get the entire conference, it costs $14.95 for a month or $119.95 for an entire year.

Omaha sportscaster Kevin Kugler (KOZN-1620 AM) will call the play-by-play while Will Shields will be the color analyst.

Tickets for the 1 pm spring game are still on sale at huskers.com. Tickets seem to be moving; a request for two tickets together got me row 60 in the south end zone.

Bo Pelini mentioned that a broadcast was going to happen weeks ago, so really, the only news is that we have a broadcast time. No, I didn't expect a live broadcast. Nebraska makes too much money and wants a big show, so they want fans in the seats. What's nice about the tape delay is that those of us who take the kids to the game can go back and watch the game later at our leisure, minus the interruptions about having to go to the bathroom, need snacks, what is that scary looking balloon thing supposed to be, etc.?
