The University of Nebraska-Lincoln has announced that Shawn Eichorst, formerly Miami's athletic director since last April, will succeed Tom Osborne as athletic director.

Until January 1st, Eichorst will be a "special assistant to the Chancellor", per the Omaha World-Herald.
