Next week will be tough but winnable game for the Mocs. It will definitely be more manageable than their game against Nebraska.

Not only was the coaching staff hunkered down to fix the problems from Thursday’s dramatic 24-23 season-opening win over UT Martin, it had to start making plans to go forward with a new quarterback. Fresno State took quite a few lumps during Saturday's 36-21 loss to Cal at Candlestick Park, and afterward coach Pat Hill seemed to be preparing the fan base for a few more.

"I still believe this will be a very, very good football team," Hill said during the postgame news conference. "We had a lot of new guys. There's a lot of moving parts. We're going to go through a few growing pains."
