To celebrate Nebraska joining the Big Ten, Nikco Sports has created a limited edition, full-sized Cornhuskers football to showcase the rich football history of the school, and to mark its official entrance into Big Ten Conference action. Only 2,011 footballs will be produced, and each football will come with a handsome acrylic display case, making for a stunning presentation in a fan's office or home.
The footballs will raise funds for the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Nebraska, a group that supports youngsters throughout the state who have life-threatening medical conditions.
The footballs are $99 each, and for each sold, Nikco Sports will donate $7 to the Nebraska Chapter. In recent years, Nikco Sports has worked with a number of chapters of the Make-A-Wish Foundation throughout the United States and the St. Louis based company has raised more than $1.7 million for children's charities.

About the football:
One panel features historic information about the Nebraska football program, including an area on stadium history and a championship area that lists all five of the national championship seasons and records. There’s also a notation that recognizes Nebraska ranks fourth among NCAA Division I-A teams in victories, with more than 800.
• Another panel of the football features a stunning, panoramic color photograph of a packed Memorial Stadium (capacity of 81,067) on a sunny afternoon.
• A separate panel lists the teams in the 2011 Big Ten Conference, by division, including Nebraska’s place in the Legends Division, along with Iowa, Michigan, Michigan State, Minnesota and Northwestern. The schools in the Leaders Division are Illinois, Indiana, Ohio State, Penn State, Purdue and Wisconsin. In the center of this panel is the official Big Ten Conference logo for the 2011 season, with a heading above which reads Nebraska Cornhuskers, with two small Nebraska helmet logos on each side of the presentation.

The footballs will be sold on a first-come basis for $99, complete with a case. Fans can order by calling 1-800-345-2868 or visiting www.nikcosports.com. Each football will include an individually number certificate of authenticity to enhance the value of this unique item.
Realistically - these will probably sell out within about two weeks, so if you're interested, I wouldn't wait long. Maybe this is that gift for that guy who has everything - it's not too early to be thinking about the holidays... is it?
