It's Here! College Football Season Starts!

It's here! It's here!

College football season starts this evening!

Finally, at long last the offseason has come to an end!

Okay, so if you're someone who only cares about Nebraska football, then you're waiting another couple days.

But why? It's not like Nebraska plays football in a vacuum, and tonight's ESPN prime time game will feature conference foe Wisconsin welcoming the UNLV Rebels to Madison where no doubt the Rebels will be overcome by freezing temperatures (read: <100 degrees) and easily smashed!

It's your chance to see new Badger quarterback Russel Wilson in action while joining us for the first game thread of the season where you can talk about how he's not all that and how Jared Crick will find him in the Wisconsin backfield on October 1st, crush him into a tiny little ball and squeeze until no more juice runs out!

If that's not enough, Western Kentucky and star running back Bobby Rainey take on Kentucky on ESPNU at 8:15 CT! Yes! The same Bobby Rainey that ran for 155 yards on 30 carries against the Blackshirt defense last season.

There's also Bowling Green and Jerry Boo Boo Gates against the Idaho Vandals at 8:00 CT on ESPN3.com.

Okay, so it's not much of a selection, but it's a start. And it's something else besides expansion talk and hearing about how this guy or that has matured during the offseason.

So, join us tonight for some real football talk (or regale us with what you've been doing to get through the offseason).
