It's not really the first "Nebraska in the Big Ten" content by the BTN - there was the press conference coverage when Nebraska joined, stuff around division alignment and names, but the "Signing Day Special" show will be the first time that Nebraska content will be included with BTN coverage as if we were full members of the conference.
The program will include video highlights of top recruits, university press conferences, one-on-one interviews with Big Ten head coaches and expert recruiting analysis from Scout.com.
Host Mike Hall, analysts Gerry DiNardo, Howard Griffith and Scout.com national recruiting expert Allen Trieu will review each school's recruiting class and evaluate how each team filled its most pressing roster needs.
The original plan was for BTN to show their "Signing Day Special" at 3:30 PM CT, Wednesday, but around noon today, I received the following rather disappointing announcement:
Due to the travel difficulties associated with the blizzard that is expected to hit Chicago during the next 12-36 hours, the Big Ten Network has postponed the Football Signing Day Special to 11 PM ET on Thursday night. The show will also re-air at 11 AM on Friday morning.
The show was originally supposed to be 90 minutes, but now has been shortened to 60 minutes. Covering 12 teams - you know they won't be able to do in-depth coverage of every single recruit, but that's besides the point.
What's the point? The point is - we're five months to the day away that we are formal members. Do you know where your Big Ten Network is??????
