Nebraska Wins First Big Ten Title!

The University of Nebraska Speech and Debate team has won the university's first Big Ten title

Check this out:

UNL led the field with a two-day point total of 261 points, ahead of tournament host and second-place finisher Northwestern at 138 points.

That's a 123 point win or the equivalent of over 17.5 touchdowns! What an ass-kicking!!!

Your conference champions:

Senior Nick Herink of Omaha won conference championships in prose interpretation, dramatic interpretation, and duo interpretation with partner sophomore Grace Kluck of Lincoln.

Other students winning conference championships included senior Jimmy Simpson Jr. of Lyons in persuasive speaking, senior Eli Barts of Bellevue in informative speaking, junior Lauren Schaal of Omaha in after-dinner speaking and sophomore Josh Planos of Omaha in program oral interpretation.

This from a university that was supposed to be at the bottom of the academic scale (well, other than Iowa)!

So, from us at Corn Nation to the UNL Speech and Debate team, a great big WOHOOO!!!!!!!!

And to the rest of you Big Ten SOB's that thought we were just a bunch of dumb jocks, if it's up for debate, we're here to kick your asses!

We're not all going to work for you someday!

WOOHOOOOO!

Now on to that contest where they build cars that can go 6,000 miles on one cup of urine (or something like that)!!!!
