Those goofy writers and editors at SI.COM got together and came up with their mid-season All America Team. There are 12 schools that have multiple players on one of the two teams, broken down as follows:
Wisconsin (5), Oregon (5), Oklahoma State (4), Auburn (3), TCU (3), Michigan St (3), LSU (2), Nebraska (2), Florida St (2), Boston College (2), Utah (2), Boise State (2).
Nebraska's two players are first-team linebacker Lavonte David, and second-team Safety Eric Hagg. It would have been nice to see Prince Amukamara on this list somewhere, but he's quietly done his job covering people, and doesn't have the added advantage of returning punts or kicks to get noticed.
Note that Oklahoma State had four (!) player selected - first-teamers receiver Justin Blackmon and kicker David Bailey, along with second-teamers running back Kendall Hunter and guard Lane Taylor.
