Join us this afternoon as the Huskers have their biggest test of the season so far when they travel to Tempe to face James Harden, Jeff Pendergraph, and the 19th-ranked Arizona State Sun Devils.
This is that game the Huskers have every year (usually when KU comes to Lincoln) where the question becomes whether the Huskers are for real. For about a decade now, those games have always produced a resounding thud. But this team looks confident, and that's a good thing. They don't need to win today, but if they can keep it tight on the road against a very good opponent, it will send a lot of very positive signals. Win today and the rest of the season starts to look very, very different.
Accuscore.com projects the Huskers to lose by 8, which means they'll cover the 9-point spread (they're projected 26% to win). I'm feeling a little more optimistic, and put the odds of a Husker upset at about 1-in-3, but I expect the Sun Devils to squeak one out at home.
