Husker Hoops Game #9: IPFW at Nebraska Open Thread

Indiana-Purdue Fort Wayne Mastodons (4-6) at Nebraska Cornhuskers (6-2)

5 PM, Bob Devaney Sports Center, Lincoln. NE

TV: None

Radio: Husker Sports Network (1110 AM Omaha, 1400 AM Lincoln, Sirius 108), Webcast on Huskers.com

The Huskers look to bounce back from back-to-back road losses on their 2-game west coast trip by taking on the IPFW Mastodons this evening, the beginning of a 6-game home stand, including the final 5 non-conference games of the year.

I hate to say this after last time, but this game should be a win, especially considering what happened last Saturday, but this game is more a chance for the Huskers to work out some kinks in their offense before Missouri comes to town to open Big XII play.

Still no word on Jorge Diaz, but the World-Herald reported today that his enrollment may be pushed back until the admissions office reopens on the 29th. WIth the first semester over, Diaz would be eligible to play as soon as he is admitted and enrolled in classes.

Today's Trivia: IPFW Coach Dane Fife is the youngest Head Coach in Division I Hoops. Just 6 years ago, he was playing in the NCAA Final Four at Indiana.
