In yesterday's 38-28 loss at Boston College, Wake Forest QB Riley Skinner, last year's ACC rookie of the year and passing efficency leader, was knocked out of the game with a separated shoulder. Skinner was replaced by sophomore Brett Hodges, who went 17 for 23 and 130 yards.
No word as to the extent of the injury, but you would have to think that an injury to his throwing arm will keep him out for some time...and almost certainly the next game against the Huskers. Skinner's play was key to Wake's sudden, surprising rise to the top of the ACC last season, so this is likely a huge blow to the Deacons.
