Baseball - A Better Day

Nebraska blanked the Western Illinois Leathernecks 8-0 this afternoon. Drew Bowman was the starting pitcher, with Luke Wertz, Zach Herr, and Thad Weber in relief. Between them they gave up only three hits, and on a good note, Nebraska had no errors in the game.

The comments from Mike Anderson say as much as you need to know about how much better the Huskers played today:

"That is what we were looking for out of our staff," Anderson said. "10 strikeouts and no walks – that says it all."
"I really liked the way we swung today, in terms of line drives, and we really kept our focus today," Anderson said of NU’s offensive attack.

Mizzou is coming. They're hot, even against inferior competition. Should be a great series this weekend - the first weekend series in Lincoln.
