Baylor couldn't quite sweep Oral Roberts, losing their Sunday game 4-2, breaking a seven game winning streak, and a 14-game winning streak at their home park. Check this home field advantage: The last time Baylor defeated a team in the first two games of a series at home but lost the finale was March 4, 2001, when Missouri edged the Bears 5-4 in 10 innings. Baylor is now 19-3 in such games at Baylor Ballpark. Pretty impressive, eh?
Baylor will play UTA (UTA is making their trip around the Big 12) on Tuesday, then head out to the Pacific Tournament in Stockton California, to take on San Francisco, Pacific, and San Diego State.
Given that the stinky bastages over at Bear Meat declared war against Nebraska this past week, I hope that Baylor does well this season until they come to Lincoln. Then I hope we sweep them, meet them again the in the Big 12 tourney and beat them again in the title game. Take that, you fargan war-declaring bastages!

Everybody in the Big 12 must get a chance to beat up on UT-Arlington and apparently it was the Aggies this last Tuesday. The Aggies then swept a series with Jacksonville State. Texas A&M has only lost one game this season - their lone loss coming against against Arizona State. Remember that Nebraska's former pitching coach, Rob Childress is the head coach now at A&M.

Mrs. Corn Nation just walked up stairs a little bit ago and told me that the dung heap that is "The Departed" won best picture. This is why I don't bother watching the Oscars. We watched this movie a couple weeks ago and I gave up with about ten minutes left because I couldn't take any more. It was an absolute piece of garbage and the idea that it won Best Picture shows that you don't need to do much more than get a bunch of big names together in a movie, hire a big name director, throw crap on the screen and it'll stick. It's two hours of your life you won't get back.
