Ekeler informed Nebraska linebackers of his impending move Saturday morning. It was unclear whether Ekeler will coach for the Huskers in the Dec. 30 Holiday Bowl. He would become the first of third-year NU head coach Bo Pelini's original staff of assistants to depart the program.

Mike Ekeler has twice turned down South Florida's Jim Leavitt and has decided to stay at Nebraska. I figure he's got a lot more to learn from the Pelinis. Or maybe he wants to finish what he started. Or maybe Nebraska IS a better place to live than Florida.
