Nebraska tight end Kyler Reed made the 2012 Mackey Award Watch List - rather than teammate Ben Cotton. Surprising? Probably not, but that depends on how you define "tight end".

The college football major awards watch lists will be released over the next couple of weeks. We take our shot at projecting which Husker players will be on which list.

Tonight in Houston, Ndamukong Suh won the Lombardi Award for the nation's top lineman (offense or defense).  That's two for two for Mr. Suh.

Ndamukong Suh wins the Bronko Nagurski Trophy. Suh is a finalist for the Heisman, Outland, Lombardi and Lott awards.

Selections for the All-Big 12 Awards should give pause to Texas fans who think Nebraska's defense can't defend the pass.

Finalists for the Lott Trophy are Safety Eric Berry of Tennessee, Defensive End Jerry Hughes of TCU, Linebacker Rolando McClain of Alabama and Defensive Tackle Ndamukong Suh of Nebraska.

Idaho guard Mike Iupati, Oklahoma State tackle Russell Okung and Nebraska defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh have been named finalists for the 64th Outland Trophy, which is awarded to the best interior lineman in college football by the Football Writers Association of America.
