Kevin Kugler of NET made the observation today that perhaps Childress and Mike Anderson are much better coaches working together than they are coaching Nebraska and Texas A&M separately.

Due to the threat of rain in Los Angeles, the Huskers will play a doubleheader against UCLA on Friday afternoon. Game times Friday are 4 pm CST and 8 pm CST. Saturday's series finale would be at 4 pm CST. If it rains, they'll try to play Sunday afternoon at 1 pm CST. According to Shamus McKnight, KFAB (1110 AM in Omaha) radio plans to carry the games, though I think they may now pass on the early game on Friday afternoon.

Nebraska lost both games Sunday as Kansas took the series. It's unfortunate because we played a lot better than we had been playing recently. It's also unfortunate because we're now four games behind 8th place Texas Tech with only six conference games remaining, meaning we'll have to play extremely well just to make the Big 12 tourney.

Nebraska starts the Big 12 conference season at Lubbock, TX. The Red Raiders are 6-8, but not the pushover they appear to be.
