2008 Nebraska Spring Game: For What Will We Cheer?
The first play of the first spring game with new head coach Bill Callahan in 2004 was a play-action pass. Joe Dailey reared back and threw the ball deep. Husker fans cheered loudly and the pass fell incomplete. Perhaps it was a foreshadow of Callahan’s reign at Nebraska.
Seems like a long time ago.
This Saturday we’ll have the first play of the new Bo Pelini era, Husker Extra hints that it’s "special". I find myself wondering what we’ll cheer for - and I don't mean your usual 70,000 person loud cheer, I mean that thing that makes us all stand up and roar.
Since it’s a sell-out it and the teams are evenly matched, it should have the feel of a true game day. Thank you God for that feeling.

I'm hoping to see a little of everything...
I'll probably cheer the loudest when the team returns to the field. But I might cheer louder if we see one of those special plays. It's a scrimmage, so I want to see a well played game, and if someone makes an incredible play, I may scream even louder.
