Most college fans around the nation see Colorado as Nebraska's greatest rival these days, but I'm not so sure it's not Kansas State.

There's something irritating about the Wildcats. Maybe it was that non-call on the facemask that nearly ripped Eric Crouch's head off. Maybe it was that Bill Snyder was even weirder and worse with the media than the stoic Tom Osborne. Maybe it's the prima donna nature of quarterback Josh Freeman who considered text messaging a good way to break up with the Huskers and Bill Callahan. Maybe it's the still-lingering echoes of uber-whiner Chad May.

Whatever the case, Kansas State is evil. Whether or not they're as evil as Colorado depends upon the season, but they fall into the same category of pests.

Kansas State is the corn borer.

Corn borers can bore into the stalk and ear, ruining the crop and destroying the harvest. They must be dealt with through eradication.

If you want to get specific, KSU is the European Corn Borer. You knew Chad May had some French in him, didn't you?
