Around SBN: Steve McNair Found Shot to Death

Husker Mike invades CornNation

Apparantly during one of his tests to figure out how long beer in a keg lasts, CornBlight asked me to contribute to CornNation.  So I took him up on the offer before he sobered up.  For those of you who aren't familiar with me, my blog "Husker Mike's Blasphemy" has been online for just over 2 years now.  Why was it called "Blasphemy"?  Well, some of my thoughts are considered sacrilegous to some Husker fans.  I'd like to think I bring a little bit of balance - criticizing when things are wrong and complementing when warranted.

The Lincoln Journal-Star this week talked to Husker fans across the state about their opinions of Steve Pederson and Bill Callahan.  An interesting, if not someone uninformed bunch.  You can see that people are all over the board over Steve Pederson - some love him and some don't trust him.  I think that probably reflects reality, though it's not a scientific sampling by any means.

Just to prove I can be balanced, here's a great article about Roger Craig's thoughts on 2007.  He's predicting a breakout season and an upset of probable preseason #1 USC in Lincoln.  Has he been drinking too much of the kool-aid?  Maybe...maybe not.  There are a lot of unknowns going into this season, but with this game in Lincoln, you never know.  If Sam Keller picks up this offense quickly and can deliver the ball to anybody in a Husker uniform on the field, anything can happen.

For those of you who frequent my existing blog, don't worry, it's not going away.  And don't worry, I won't be talking about Nebraska-Omaha hockey here either.

Terrific!

Welcome, Husker Mike.

Thrilled to see you joining up with Grumpy Pants McBlight... errr... my good friend JJ.

Seriously - this blog is already one of my favorites. Now we've got additional firepower. Love it.

Cornkickoff09_160_medium

"Cornhusker Kickoff" is our 2009 preseason yearbook. With 128 pages of analysis, stats, history, and pictures, Cornhusker Kickoff  is the only preseason magazine devoted exclusively to Nebraska football. We'll have more about it soon, but you can pre-order it at Maple Street Press, where it will ship on July 6th. It will be available stores throughout Nebraska where you can find other preseason magazines on July 21st.
If you have comments or feedback, please contact us here at Corn Nation. We're always looking for ways to improve!
